I'm sure many of you have read about the issues I have been having with my spotted, I had an oppertunity to take him to Emerald on the weekend and spend a few hours with Nev ( his shop is PJ's pet supplies for ne one else here up north) I found an ad in a tails and scales mag saying he did husbandry courses...after I sopke to him on the phone I knew there was alot more to him.

Within a few mins of pulling Fluffy out of his pillow case he was able to tell me that he had worms and was enemic and helped fluffy get the last bit of shedding off his spurs and tail - and he didn't get bitten!...

After holding fluffy like he was a set of keys for a bit he built up my confidence and had me holding fluffy, sweet!!! It got better when he had me holding a black headed python that kept hissing at me I was completely freaked at first until he explained a bit about him, I was then holding any random snake he passed without hesitation -
The fact that he took time out of his weekend when his shop was closed and he could have been home with his family was beyond me, I really appreciate all the help and knowledge he gave me.

The standard of his shop in comparison to others I have been to - especially where I purchased my snake was completely different... and I wonder why all can't be the same - Others have minimal info on herps almost like they've read a caresheet and because they work in a petshop makes them experts it's really dissapointing!
I think it's pretty bad when they need to learn from their customers...

I have been emailing back and forth the shop 'Animal Crackers' in Sarina where I bought Fluffy and just sent one off saying that I won't buy from her any more and was pretty blunt saying good intentions aren't enough, the condition I purchased my snake in was really bad and I'm lucky I picked up on things early, as a first time buyer of a snake I put my confidence in them, and i don't think it's right for shop owners to take advantage of this.

Other than my email and not buying from there any more is there any thing else I can do?...Herps deserve to be looked after properly it isn't all about the almighty $ and it sucks that that's all some people see them as!
